Two golds, a silver, and a bronze last month at the pharma industry's innovation and impact awards. Highly commended for Agency of the Year. All in our third year of existence.
We've built an AI avatar that revolutionised congress engagement. We've automated abstract reviews that gave medical teams their time back. We've created space-themed training programmes that are becoming industry standards. And we're just getting started.
This is an opportunity to genuinely shape how the pharmaceutical industry approaches technology and innovation, with the agency that’s leading the industry.
Are you passionate about building tools that solve real problems? Do you thrive in a fast-paced agency environment where you can ship solutions quickly, learn from real users, and see the impact of what you create?
We're looking for a product engineer ready to make their mark. Someone who values both quality and innovation, is eager to work across disciplines, and wants to help transform medical communications. You should be comfortable with modern web technologies and excited about exploring how AI and other emerging tools can deliver meaningful results for clients.
Medical communications experience is not essential. We can teach you about pharma. We can't teach enthusiasm, curiosity, and the ability to work well in a collaborative agency environment.
As a product engineer, you'll join our Design & Technology team as the first dedicated developer. The team currently includes three UX designers and a technology specialist role to help with project management, plus support from freelancers and partner agencies when needed. You'll work closely with colleagues across design, accounts, and medical writing to create tools and experiences that solve real problems.
From concept to delivery, you'll build client-facing innovations like AI-powered congress experiences and interactive training platforms, as well as internal tools that help the team work more effectively.
You'll have the opportunity to explore and integrate new technologies, ship prototypes quickly, and iterate based on feedback from actual users. You'll be supported to grow your skills whilst working on projects that are genuinely changing how medical communications works.
Build and deploy client-facing tools and experiences, from AI-powered congress activations to interactive training platforms
Create internal tools in cross-functional teams that allows everyone to do their best work
Collaborate across disciplines with designers, writers, account managers, and technical specialists
Contribute to ideation sessions and help evaluate which ideas are worth building
Work with modern web technologies, APIs, and AI tools to create functional prototypes
Ensure all outputs meet quality standards and, where relevant, compliance requirements
Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
Support resource planning and help the team understand what's feasible and what isn't
At least 2 years of experience building and shipping working software in an agency or similar fast-paced environment
Proficiency in modern web development (we've used Python, WordPress, JavaScript, but the specific stack matters less than your ability to learn)
Experience working with APIs and integrating different services
A portfolio or examples of things you've built that solved real problems
Good understanding of product thinking: knowing when to build, when to iterate, and when to stop
Healthcare or medical communications knowledge is desirable but not essential
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work out what's actually needed versus what's being asked for
Comfortable working autonomously but also collaborative and open to feedback
Good communication skills, both in explaining technical decisions and understanding user needs
Able to manage workload and prioritise effectively when multiple projects are running
Reliable and proactive in flagging issues, asking questions, or suggesting better approaches
Adaptable and curious, with genuine interest in learning about new domains
Pragmatic rather than perfectionist, understanding that shipping and iterating beats endless polish
