We’re looking for an accomplished medical writer, who is ready for a challenge in a fast-paced agency environment. We need someone who cares about both quality and innovation; someone who loves executing innovative projects across a whole range of formats and contributing to strategy.

Key details
Salary: £35-45k depending on experience
Eligibility: UK citizen or resident with right to work in UK
Contract: Permanent
Benefits: Flexible and competitive package, to be discussed during interviews
Start date: ASAP
Location: Primarily remote, with availability to travel within the UK and potentially internationally
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours Monday to Friday, with flexible working practices. Other options may be possible and can be discussed during the recruitment process
Core responsibilities
  • Develop content for a wide range of deliverables including slide decks, websites, infographics, videos, eLearning, etc.

  • Achieve high levels of quality across all materials through scientific rigour, attention to detail, proofreading and quality checks, in line with Camino processes

  • Go beyond basic communication of data to turn content into compelling stories

  • Work closely with the wider team (including other writers, account handlers, designers etc) to ensure work is delivered on time and according to the brief

  • Manage own workload and deadlines, in discussion with the team, with clear communication at all times

  • Liaise with clients, HCPs, freelancers and the wider Camino team  

  • Develop knowledge of clients’ product, strategy, therapy area, clinical pathways and competitors, and contribute to strategic and content discussions with clients and KOLs

  • Contribute to business development activities, including supporting the development of proposals and participating in pitch teams

  • Support organic growth of existing client accounts in collaboration with the wider team

  • Suggest ideas for improvements and innovation on projects and deliverables in terms of formats, content and process

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the writing team and wider business

Experience and knowledge
  • At least 1 year working in a medical communication agency or similar environment

  • Range of project types and therapy areas

  • Ideally familiar with working across UK domestic, European and Global accounts

  • Working knowledge of key industry codes of practice and healthcare systems

  • No formal requirements for academic qualifications
