We’re on the hunt for a passionate Junior Digital Designer ready to make their mark in a dynamic medical communications agency setting. Salary: £28-32k depending on experience
Eligibility: UK citizen or resident with right to work in UK
Contract: Permanent

Location: Primarily remote, with availability to travel within UK and internationally
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours Monday to Friday with flexible working practices. Other options may be possible; for discussion during recruitment process
The role

As a Junior Digital Designer, you’ll work closely with our design, development, accounts, and medical writing teams to create visually compelling assets across a range of digital channels. From concept to delivery, you’ll contribute to the design and production of engaging materials such as interactive presentations, websites, social media content, eLearning tools, and more.

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore and integrate the use of AI tools to help streamline workflows, accelerate ideation, and enhance the efficiency of the creative process. You’ll be mentored and supported to grow your skills while gaining experience in the fast-evolving world of digital healthcare communications.

Core responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)

  • Collaborate in the design of user interfaces and experiences using tools like Figma across various formats

  • Contribute to ideation sessions and brainstorms for creative digital campaigns

  • Support the creation and editing of presentations, web visuals, and interactive content

  • Ensure all outputs are on-brand, compliant, and scientifically accurate

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members to support resource planning and workflow management

Experience and knowledge
  • At least 1 year of experience working in an agency or in-house design department

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)

  • Basic to intermediate experience with Figma or similar digital design tools

  • A strong portfolio showcasing creative and technical skills

  • Good understanding of design principles, including typography, layout, and colour theory

  • Healthcare knowledge is desirable but not essential

Attributes
  • High level of precision, especially important in medical communications

  • Ability to follow brand and regulatory guidelines accurately

  • Strong proofreading habits for design-related copy

  • Comfortable working within cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, medical writers, account managers)

  • Open to feedback and able to respond constructively

  • Confident in presenting ideas and explaining design decisions

  • Able to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment

  • Capable of juggling multiple projects and prioritising tasks effectively

  • Reliable and proactive in flagging issues or asking for clarification

  • Adaptable and eager to learn about the healthcare industry

  • Curious mindset with a willingness to develop new technical and creative skills
